How to Enter Google Classroom
Before you can enter Google Classroom, there are several accounts that you can use with different feature access rights. Several types of accounts are divided into:
1. School account (G Suite for Education): is an account obtained from the school. The IT admin usually creates and manages this account, both e-mail and password. This account can be used to use Google Classroom both at home and at school. An example of this account is nama@namaschool.edu.
2. Personal Google Account: is an account that has been created as in the steps above. However, there are several limitations to Google Classroom features that cannot be accessed when using a personal account. Students cannot send emails to their classmates, and teachers also cannot invite students' parents to register for evaluation emails. Apart from that, students who have accounts managed by their parents also cannot create their own classes.
3. G Suite account: this account is usually used by large organizations that run G Suite Business, Basic, Enterprise, or G Suite for Nonprofits. School admins usually create and manage these accounts, and provide e-mail addresses and passwords to their users.
When you want to use Google Classroom with a personal account, first make sure you have a Google account. If not, then register first by following the steps below:

1. Go to the Google Sign Up page.
2. Enter your first name and last name.
3. Then, also create a username for Gmail.
4.Create a strong password and confirm it.
5. When finished, click next. Teachers can also add and verify cellphone numbers as an option.
6. Click "Next".
If the Google account is successfully created, then follow these steps to be able to enter Google Classroom:
1. Open Google Classroom.
2. Enter the email address into your Classroom account, then click "Next".
3. Enter your Google account password, then click "Next".

4. If there is a welcome message notification, then read the message and click "Accept".
5. When using G Suite for Education, select "I'm a Teacher"
6. Click "Start".
How to Use Google Classroom (for Teaching Teachers)
1. How to Join or Create Your Own Class
If the school admin has created a class, then the way to accept the class that has been provided is:
1. On the class card, just click "Accept".
2. Also confirm the number of students and class activation, then click "Accept".
On the other hand, if you want to create your own class, then the steps for creating a class are as follows:
1. After entering Google Classroom, at the top there is a "Classes page" menu, click "Add+", then "Create class". If this option cannot be selected, then the account is only permitted to join the class. Contact the admin who manages the account for help.

2. Enter the name of the class you want to create.

3. Fill in a brief description, class level, or class schedule in the Section column.
4. To add a subject, enter it in the Subject column.
5. Fill in the Room column to enter the class location.
6. Then click "Create".
After the above process is carried out, Google will automatically create a class code that can be used to invite students to class. For each account type, there are feature limitations when using Google Classroom which are shown in the table:
2. Invite Students to Join Class
The easiest way to invite students to class is to share an automated code that Google has generated. The way to share the code is as follows:
1. Log in to Google Classroom.
2. Select the class to share.
3. After that, look at the left side under the class title where there is "Class Code", click on that code.
4. Copy the code and share it with students.
3. How to Use Google Classroom: Posting Learning Materials
Material can be saved as a draft or scheduled to be posted at any time. When you want to provide teaching materials, the steps are as follows:
1. Select a class.
2. then cilck "classwork"
3. Select “+ Create” then click “Material”.
4. In the For section, material can be posted in several classes or even students
5. Enter the material title and description (optional).
6. Import the material file. Teachers can also add files either from their own computer or from Google Drive such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.

7. Choose a topic (optional).
8. Click "Post" when finished.
4. Give assignments to students
The assignments you want to create can be uploaded directly, saved as a draft, or scheduled to be posted at another time. Apart from that, student access rights to the file can also be regulated whether students can only view, edit or even make a copy for each student. To be able to make a task, the following are the steps:
1. Select a class.
2. Then click "Classwork".
3. Select “+ Create” then click “Assignment” to add a new assignment.
4. In this section, enter the task title and description of the task. Teachers can also add attachments from their own storage or from Google Drive storage such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
5. Set the maximum value, also add a deadline for submitting assignments.
6. Enter the assignment topic as optional.
7. When finished, click "Assign".
5. Discuss in Class
Not only making assignments, to test students' understanding, teachers can also discuss learning material. The way to use Google Classroom for discussions is:
1. First select the class you want to discuss.
2. Then select the "Classwork" menu.
3. Click “+ Create” and select “Question”
4. Fill in the column with the question you want to ask and you can also add instructions for answering the question. Answers can also be arranged in essay or multiple choice form.
5. After that, the teacher can add attachments, mark limits, submission deadlines and topics.
6. If so, click "Ask".

Apart from going through the questions menu, discussions can also be carried out directly after selecting a class on the homepage then clicking "Share something with your class". The difference is, discussion posts here cannot be rated.

6. How to Use Google Classroom to Conduct Assessment
Usually, after students have finished their assignments, the assignments will appear automatically on the "Student Work" page after we select the class. When carrying out an assessment, the teacher can also provide comments at the same time. Then, if you have given an assessment, the assignment will be returned to the student. To carry out an assessment, there are several steps that must be taken:
Go to the "Classwork" menu then select the assignment that will be assessed.
In the "Student Work" section, select the name of the student who will be assessed.

Then the students' assignment answers appear. This is where the teacher can provide assessments and comments
When finished, click "Return".
Without returning to Home, click the “<” sign to return to the previous student's assignment and the “>” sign for the next student assignment.
